2011 Comedy Improv Throw Down
Don't Break the Streak Improv
is proud to announce the second annual, Harrisburg Comedy Zone 2011 Comedy Improv Throw Down! This comedy festival is being held August 19-21st at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania right off PA Turnpike exit 242 and Rt 83 exit 40a in the Doc Holliday's / Old Naples complex.
This improv festival will include workshops each day as well as an improv "Throw Down" eliminating teams until we have one winner left standing! (all in good fun of course so leave the chains and bats at home!)

Winners are announced and prizes are awarded, closing ceremony and everyone is then released! After Party?
How Much Does it Cost?
$100 per troupe competing plus $20 per individual participating at the door, for the entire weekend, to include all events, workshops and shows. (valid for any active troupe member also competing in the Throw Down.)
$100 goes toward the prize pool and advertising and promotion to get the local people out to see you!
Anyone not competing as a cast member in one of the 18 troupes listed above, wishing to purchase a workshop only pass, can purchase one for $20 for the entire weekend, and attend as many workshops as they like. (This pass does NOT include the public shows or competitions)
All participants must be 21 or older to attend. (We have a full bar and 2 restaurants on site) 18 and older with a parent or guardian.
Check in Friday from 5PM - 7PM at the Comedy Zone.
Each participant will be required to sign a video release for the professional taping during the competition. The taping will be used to promote the festival online, promote each improv troupe competing, and to create a dvd available for purchase for anyone who attended the festival. There is no additional cost for the professional taping or editing. Instead of paying to have your competition professionally recorded you will have the option of purchasing a DVD for $20 before the end of the festival. 2011 Festival T-shirts will also be available for $15.
Judging Criteria / Method
This Comedy Improv Throw Down will have three judges, each scoring the performance on a scale of 1-10.
1. Judge number 1 is Andy Moskowitz, from improv duo Jessica Tandy and troupe Fletcher, will be our technical judge.
2. The Second and third judges will be original cast members of Don't Break the Streak with over 100 performances under their belt.
The Saturday night shows will also be judged by HOT 92 Morning Madhouse on-air personalitiy Sami!
The Sunday Final showdown at 7PM will also be judged by HOT 92 Morning Madhouse on-air personalitiy DJ Puff!
